Advertising
As this site is still in it’s infancy, no advertising will be allowed until the site receives a good amount of search visitors. When advertising is allowed it will be limited to Google AdSense.
Article Length, Internal and External Links
There is absolutely no point in posting short non informative articles. Therefore all articles must have a minimum length of 300 words but as with anything worth promoting the more informative content you can post the better. When you come to add links within the body of your article I have set a limit of one external link per 200 words. This does not mean that there has to be 200 words between links, just keep the content flow natural.
You can create as many internal links as you need to establish a good cross-link reference, this can be to your other posts or to post of other authors, so long as they are within this site. External links should include the target=”_blank” attribute.
All external links will be verified to ensure that they are bona fied and not paid links. Any links to SEO websites that manipulate content are prohibited.
Article Structure
The structure of the article is entirely your decision but please insert a more tag after the first or second paragraph as this is where the article will be split for displaying on the homepage. You can also set the Title and Description metadata tag values by completing the “HeadSpace” section when creating your article.
Categories and Tags
The key to good content is it’s ability to relate the subject matter. To assist with the articles relation to the subject matter all articles should be added to the appropriate categories. Multiple categories are allowed, however, any inappropriate categories will be removed. The categories on this site are structured as most other website directories, if you are uncertain as to which category your article should be placed do a search for the topic at DMOZ and it will suggest the best category. If the desired category does not exist on this site, please send a contact message requesting it to be added.
When adding tags for your article you should use the “Yahoo Suggest” link on the article edit page. Please limit the number of tags you select to 10 as the tags will also be used in the page metadata. Any inappropriate tags or tags in excess of 10 will be removed.
Spelling and Grammar
As with any article it should be well constructed and be informative on the subject matter. All articles should be submitted in English and if not your first language, have the article checked by a native English speaker. All articles should be spell checked and any article deemed to be poorly written will not be published.
